The Columbia University Ballroom Dance Team is proud to announce that two world-renowned couples will perform at the Big Apple Dancesport Challenge 2008: Latin couple Slavik Kryklyvyy & Hanna Karttunen, and Standard couple Arunas Bizokas & Katusha Demidova.

Slavik Kryklyvyy and Hanna Karttunen have both won numerous prestigious titles with their respective partners over the course of their careers, including UK Open Champions and Blackpool Professional Latin Runners Up. In 2004, Hanna stopped competing in the Latin category to focus on the style of Exhibition, where she won the World Championships twice and the British Open Championships twice with her fiancé Victor Da Silva. She is now returning to Latin competitions. Slavik and Hannah started dancing together in March 2008, representing Russia.
Arunas Bizokas & Katusha Demidova

Arunas Bizokas was Blackpool Winner in 2007 with his previous partner Edita Daniute, where they represented Lithuania in Amateur Standard category. Katusha Demidova was USA Professional Standard Champion and Blackpool Professional Standard Runner Up with her previous partner Jonathan Wilkins. Arunas and Katusha started dancing together in October 2007, after Arunas turned Professional; together they have already won several prestigious professional competitions in the US and in Asia, and recently took the second place at the 2008 Blackpool Dance Festival.

The Starry Night Winter Showcase Tickets are now on sale:
- Until October 23rd, the tickets are only available for Competitors. Competitors can purchase tickets by choosing the package "Competition + Show" when registering. This option will be available until November 5th. After this deadline, competitors may still purchase showcase tickets at general public pricing.
- The general public can purchase tickets starting October 23rd. Click here to access our Ticket Center.

Those dancing in the night session will still need to buy spectator tickets if they wish to see the show!
There will be no refunds after the receipt of payment for performance tickets.
Show tickets will be assigned by name and will be on "will-call". All tickets will need to be picked up individually the day of with appropriate ID for all pre-ordered tickets.
