The Columbia University Ballroom Dance Team offers an extensive array of group classes, split into competitive and social classes. All the classes are taught by professional dance instructors, in a casual atmosphere.

The team is open to all: No previous dance experience is necessary to join the team, but we also welcome experienced dancers. The classes are offered by level (beginner, intermediate, advanced). No partner is required to join the team.

Sponsored competitions are competitions that the team either organizes a group to attend and/or reimburses registration costs for. Below is a list of competitions usually sponsored by the team:

DCDI (U. of Maryland) - Yale Competition - Columbia BADC - Manhattan Amateur Classic - UPenn/Princeton Clover Star Classic - Harvard Invitational - Spring Regionals - MIT Open - Rutgers

This list may be altered to accomodate our members' requests. Attending competitions is completely optional.
