About Columbia Ballroom. The Columbia University Ballroom Dance Team offers weekly classes with renowned professional dance instructors in International Standard and Latin, as well as Social dancing classes. The team offers a casual atmosphere with the opportunity to experience both the social and competitive aspects of ballroom dance.
Our mission is to provide the best opportunity and environment for members to develop and hone their dancing skills and to share their interests in ballroom dancing. We are a social, fun-loving organization that supports its members in their quest to dance and perform better. No partner or prior dance experience is necessary to join the team.

Christmas Week!

This week is Christmas week! It's your chance to ask our instructors to teach you anything you want! Paso? Smooth? Viennese Waltz? Anything (within reason) is fair game! Also, everyone is welcome to attend all three classes.
In other news...our Christmas Party will be next Monday, 12/12, 10:30p-12:00a in Lerner C555. Come by for exciting performances, a fun dance competition (winning couple receives a private lesson up to $100), and a round of white elephant gift exchange (gift limit $10). We will also be taking an official team photo at the party, so come looking your best!

This week we are collecting full dues! Please come prepared to pay with cash or check unless you have worked something out with Vangie, Abigail, or Helen. You will not be allowed to dance if you have not paid!

Salsa Outing: Friday 10/14
Our first social dance outing of the year will take place on Friday, October 14th. The group will meet at the 116/Broadway gates at 8:30pm. If you would prefer to meet the group at the venue, it is at a dance studio called "You Should be Dancing" in Club 412 (412 8th avenue, 31st street, press 4 on call box for entry).
The event lasts roughly from 9pm-1am. Bring $10 and shoes you feel comfortable dancing in! See below the official blurb for the event:
